How do you open the hatch from inside the car?
Ok I feel like an idiot asking this. But I swear to god I have looked in the manual and didnt see this anywhere. I find it hard to believe that it can only be opened by the button on the key. So forgive my ignorance while you type the answer.
no ****! I thought they just hid it in some stupid place. I literaly looked everywhere before consulting the idiot book. In that case I hate the fact that you have to trun the car off to open it up.

I knew about it first day I had the car, because I didnt know how to open trunk, it said about the little button by the license plate and the string under the strut bar....I didnt know when I would ever be trapped under the strut bar, but who knows, lol.

I checked the table of contents in my owner's manual.
In chapter 3, the section on "secondary rear hatch
release" is what you want. It's on page 3-10 in my
manual.
Took me all of 10 seconds to find and that includes waiting
for my PC to fire up the Acrobat Reader.

I dont really see the big deal, if your car is running you just hit the unlock button and use the button outside the car to open the hatch, if the car is not running just hit the button on the remote.
The release that is inside the car isnt really an emergency escape becuase you could obviously climb into the front seat from the back of the car. Its a direct pull on the latch assembly so that if the actuator the releases the hatch fails, you can still open it.
I cant beleive someone hasnt said to "SEARCH", this topic has been covered way too many times.
