Dan (or anyone else who can answer this),

When will the passenger airbag defeat switch be available to order as a factory option? This is really an important feature for me because of my 7 year old child. If it's just around the corner, I'll wait to place my order so it can be included.....if not then I guess I'm going to have to go without the feature.

Dan.....I'll be coming in sometime next week to place my order....hopefully you'll have some news on this feature for me and the others that are interested in it.

I doubt it would ever be a factory option. I think on most cars, it is retrofitted kit.

 

I agree, don't think it will ever be a factory option. From talking with a dealer on this one a few months back at a Z showing prior to release, you need to get authorization from the NHTSA and only a few places are authorized for the retro-fit. Check out this web site for more info on this:

The only reason I'm asking and know about it is becasue it *is* listed as an option on the Z.....a late available option however.
