I was going to rant about their slow 0-60 time, then noticed it was the roadster. Thanks for the data Davidv, that's encouraging for someone looking at buying the Z.

whoa you're gonna get a few comments bout that one.... heres the first one. Maybe cause it comes factory with negative camber, which causes feathering.

I don't understand, comments about what? I agree that the 03 has tire and tranny problems, or are you talking about my 03 handling better than the 05 comment?

I’m going to hold-off on judgment about the 2005 because it has been on the road so few miles. For 2004, transmission has improved from “poor” to “average.” The surprise (for me) is suspension and power equipment. My guess is that poor suspension means “feathering,” and poor power equipment means that the windows are either stuck up or down.

I agree completely. Nissan set-up the suspension for superior slalom times (negative camber) and not extended tire life. I’m going to take a wild guess and say that many 350Z drivers are first time sports car owners. When the front tires have to be replaced at 25,00 miles, they cry to Nissan about “faulty suspension.”

Read the racing forum about front camber set-up. Some racers are recommending negative 3 degrees. Great for racing, but a bit tough on the street for 80 mph straight line stability. On the street, negative 1 degree is about right.
