Take a look at the Kelly Blue Book online.

Blue Book says 23k which is more than I owe which is a good thing, but what about that warranty....? I actually think its more like 5 years 6 months...70,000 miles $0 deductible full warranty...

the warranty means nothing really, if you trade in the dealer doesn't care, private party it might get ya 500 bucks more. Never buy the extended warranty unless you are going keep it that long. Plus the car will be worth more after the winter, NJ+winter=less money

Unfortunately, like modifications, I doubt if anyone will pay extra because the car has a warranty.

Your answer is 100 percent correct: the “market price” is determined by the buyer.

You might want to check and see if you can sell back the remainder of the warranty. I know that with some warranty companies if you sell a car or trade it in you can get a refund for the remainder of the warranty.

Ya know, I have always wondered how KBB, Edmunds, NADA etc. come up with their estimated values of cars... I wonder if they take into account the Z enthusiests and how much we are willing to pay in addition to the average joe shmoe who will pay much less since the car means nothing to him... Do you think they research this kind of thing when finding the used prices?

The numbers are from data such as car dealers who accept trade ins. Its easy for a dealer to inflate the value of a trade in, then make up the difference by overcharging on the new car. That's why Blue Book numbers tend to be inflated. Car sales people have online access to other more current data sources.

With the amount of miles that you have on your car, you might have to re-consider the Kelly Blue Book value that is listed. That is quite a lot of miles for a 2003. Most "Z" owners don't drive their cars that much.
