This one time at band camp, my cousins Jack Russell Terrier attacked a possum...it was awesome. We thought it was dead and threw it in an alley. Next morning it was gone...the little f'er fooled us lol. Oh, and this other time I hit a jackrabbit going like 50 mph on my dirt bike. Now that was scary…

I hit an armadillo in my Z once. I was doing the speed limit (45mph). Obviously I don't hit living animals on purpose, but I blame it mostly on the base models absolutely worthless halogen headlights... couldn't see it until too late and it was right in the middle of my lane.
Luckily it didn't mess anything up. My alignment was fine and the body was unaffected. I've had a few close calls with skunks and possoms too.
How fast were you going when you hit the animal? Must have been going pretty fast?

Here's video of a bird bringing down a Canadian military trainer in May 2004. You can see the bird right before it's ingested. Pilot and student were forced to eject. Instructor suffered a broken leg. The camera runs right up to ground impact. Yikes.
