You sure about that? I thought either the one on the wheel or tire marked the heavy spot and the other marked the light spot, and you mount them with the dots lining up next to each other? That would make more sense and be easier than trying to line the dots up opposite each other. Been out of my G35c for a while, so I don't immediately recall for sure how they came new, but I thought they were lined up next to each other...
One is the heavy spot and one is the light? Maybe, but that would get confusing (at least for me it would). I assume that there is one industry (wheel AND tire) standard.
My father put them in his oversized Jeep tires and swears by them.
Interesting. I can see how this might work at a constant speed for lots highway driving, but I'd think they'd constantly be shifting around and not in the right place during dynamic driving. I suppose most balance related wear occurs under contant driving, but I just don't see these as a viable option on a sports car.
Ya, that's why my dad has them on his 35" tires. They were too hard to balance. I was curious if any of you had seen them before. I wouldn't use them on a sports car at all. I don't trust it.
