I just barely now finished with the break-in period, so the fastest I've gone in my Z is only like 100 mph. The fastest I went in my Civic Si Hatchback (my previous car) was about 120 mph.

Dude not to be mean, but thank god you got rid of the si hatch, the coupes were cool, and the older si's were cool, but that hatch was a gutless piece of crap! Congrats on your new car!

A couple of weeks ago, my close friend has one of the new G's with 298/6sp (just totaled his 04 black G, and had a new one weeks later, make me sick) and we were leaving Dave and Busters, I watched his speedo hit like 145 before my brain told me to get cautious and watch the road. Fastest Ive gone ever, quite the rush

I have only gone 80 so far but, I am sure once the break in is complete that # will be a lllot higher. Oh, speaking about civics hehe...I was bored as well so, I went to see how other forums compared to this one and look what I found. Not trying to start a war or anything

amen to that, the day a STOCK 1.7 sohc v-tec-127hp/100? ft/lbs can beat a g-35 coupe, sedan, or the z i'll hand over my keys to the civic owner, just a little info, when i owned my svt focus and raced civics, i never lost to any of the na ones and even beat one w/turbo, although it was running like shi***t! Don't get me wrong you can pump up a honda motor, hell the b-series is more or less responsible for the popularity of our scene, but come on! a STOCK civic coupe with a 1.7 is a dog that can barley run a high 16 let alone beat a z.

145mph in 5th gear at 5900rpms in my Z on the 60 fwy in the carpool lane with a passanger and lots of stuff in the trunk. I was surprised how well it pulled with all the added weight. I knew it could of gone more cuz I was nowhere near the speed limiter but I was like ok thats enough now cuz there were other cars and I didn't want some idiot to just jump in front of me or be seen by a cop. But it was fun flying by all the other cars and they were just a blur. After my reflash I will see what she can do at an oval course... hpefully 165+

I just hit 140 the other night in mine messing with a buddy with an S14. That's the fastest I've gone in it but it felt fine at that speed. I did just put on Tanabe suspension and it needs an alignment bad. I did 120 the other day and it was really twitchy and pulled a lot. Time for an alignment!

141 here.... Be careful out there!

BTW, I saw a guy in Civic Si challenge a guy in a camaro. it was obvious the camaro had mods from the sound of the engine and the exhaust. the civic I know had an exhaust at the least since I could fit a freakin basketball in the tip.

anyway, the light turned green and the camaro let the civic take off first... The camaro caught and passed the civic and then the driver gave the civic the "thumbs down"

"Just minutes after its launch to make its first run at the Silver State Classic, Inada-san reportedly reached 201 mph before a tire blew, causing the 350Z to flip seven times, crashing to a screeching halt, mangled like a junkyard beater"
