I bought mine used and had pretty much the same problems. I haven't gotten my axles replaced yet but that will be in a few more weeks. I have 52.5K miles... After replacing the known problems I haven't really had any more problems.
52k miles, still run a 13.8

bought mine new 06 and have 1200 miles on it. I like it more than my first test drive. No modds and won't be getting one until warranty runs out. Shifting is a lot smoother than first few hundred miles.

same here ....16000 miles on my 03 bought new 3/03. except for the front tires and alignment done at 9000 miles, no problems. YEAH......almost forgot, window streak problems and dash rattle fixed under warranty. IMO one of the BEST cars ever owned. BTW.....I've purchased and got rid of over 13 (all bought new at the time) vehicles for personal use(including a 90 300ZX)since 1989.

Better deals out there? I really am struggling paying this much for one of these.

65,000 bought new November 02.
I've been surprised that the car hasn't developed rattles or a loose feel over the three years. My only current complaint has been the autoclose on the passenger window.

03 enthusiast 42k+ 3 sets of front tires, replaced brakes and rotors at 12k, axle bolt issue at 38k, fuel sending unit and sensor replaced 39k, tps sensor and housing replaced 39k, 3 window regulator switches under 5k, 2 head light lenses "fogged" under 5k. other than that the car drives great and is quite fun.

03 touring with 46k miles on it, runs great, no rattles. Only complaint i have is the black nissan paint seems to be lower quality than other cars i've had. Glad this isn't my daily driver for that reason.

love it hate
I have a dilemma. I absolutely love my Z, but at the same time, I hate it. I have an 03 track with 21k miles. My first set of stock tires feathered at 10 miles. Then again at 15k miles. I changed my sways and springs, got a new alignment, then put on my 19inch Toyos with Volks. Well, 4k miles later, My Z is growling like a Jeep with 38 inch super swampers on it. I just cant live with this growl, I hate it with a passion. For sale- 03 Track Z with 21k miles. BEN

Our 2004 Volvo R has had many more software/electronic issues although they were quickly fixed by the dealer. My neighbor's new Porsche--beautiful had his transmission replaced within the first few months.
ocdavid: "I had to roll the window all the way down while the door was open, close the door, opened the door again, pulled the windows up and closed the window and the auto close worked again."
I followed you until 'pulled the window up and closed the window'. Did you pull the window up by hand?
Over the past month the auto roll-up works most of the time. On hot days the problem returns: goes to the top and then down 1/3 of the way. Previously I have taken to the dealer and they have taken off the door molding and either reprogrammed or replaced something in the mechanism.
