Default 06 price comparos, how much is to much?

I can purchase a 06 350z Roaster Grand Tour (GT) for invoice price plus tax, title, tag and the $499.00 rip off dealer fees.
Are there better deals? Are the dealers just pulling my leg? Is there kick back money or something els I can get to get the price down?
This car MSRPs at $41,8000 I can get it Out the door for right at $41,700
Deal or no deal?

Default 06 price cut

I just bought my 06 coupe for $1,300 UNDER invoice. The dealer seems to have no problem discounting...he also has several 06's in stock. Mine stickered at $32...imagine how much he could discount $43....

What is this $499.00 in "dealer fees"? I've never heard of anything like that before, and unless it's something specific that ALL dealerships charge in whatever state you're in, it's just some B.S. that they're making up to get you to pay $500 extra.

It's total BS! They say oh all people pay dealer fees.
Yes it's just another way to get $500 bucks in their pockets. Garbage but they won't delete it in anyway not even off the price of the car on paper...
Bastards.

How can I get the car for under invoice or is that never done?

yeah that dealer fee is BS. I was originally looking to purchase an 05 in florida and the dealer showed me that $500 dealership fee, I was like WTF?! He explained how its just a fee i cant get around and all dealerships charge this. Well I waited and bought an 06 when they came out, I purchsed in Texas and guess what! I payed no $500 dealer fees, LOL. It wasnt even brought up. So its just a way for certain dealerships to add more money to their pocket.
And if your paying right at invioce on an 06 its a good deal, GO FOR IT!!!!!

Basically it sounds like you're paying $500 over invoice which isn't bad. Elsewhere in this site I've posted about what is reasonable. Basically, for '06 Zs I used $500 over as my upper cutoff limit. Not bad but could probably do a couple hundred better. I wouldn't let it kill the deal.

Also, no one is going to get an '06 Z for $1300 under invoice at this point in time--not until 2007 with some good negotiating!!

The 06 Z's are getting higher. At this rate a C6 would be a better car for the money if the Z prices continue to soar...My 04 touring retailed for 35K but I got it at 33K out the door and that included all options plus Nav, Nismo LMGT4's and Potenza S03's.
