Default Why should I buy a brand new 05 35th Ann. model? Any good?

05 stickers at $41....I can buy it for around $35,... 35th Anniversary model.
What does this car have over the other 05's? Why the big sticker price?
Is this car worth buying? Any extra horse power or options on this car?
The 06 GT is priced around $38,... and the Touring coupe is at $34....

Is it a smart buy?
Thanks!

Well, you get brembo brakes all around, 35th an floor mats, and cooler rims. some 06 models now have wheels similar to these. thats about it. its just about your preferance. sometimes i question why i got a 35th, but just for a little bit. i have not seen another 35th in houston, but it is a big city.

I was very disappointed in the 35th? Only change noticeable was the 2-tone leather and 300 hp engine, BIG DEAL! Dealer here in town has 3 of them. Sad!

Even the wheels are not even anniversary style!

41K is a ripoff! You should get it for Invoice which is $33100! What options does it have?

Its basically a GT.

Nissan really sucked at making the 35th a one of kind!

I say you can get it for lower!

I would go with the 06 if you like the new headlights and tailights. The 05 Anniv is different from the other models in that it has the 300hp rev up engine.

Now that the 06's are out, I wouldn't buy the 35th unless it was under invoice.

All the things that made the 35th "special" are now standard a lot of the models (like the wheels and the 300hp engine). It does have Brembos and leather interior, though, and at a curb wt. of 3290+ lbs, it's lighter than any of the 06's.

Do they come with automatic trannys or only 6 speeds?
I think they invoice over 33 grand that's to low for a $41 thousand dollar car. I'd like to see this.

They were available in both MT/AT, but as it is nearing the end of the year, your selection might be limited.

You've been a forum member for 20 months. If you're not impressed with the 350Z for $35,000, then I doubt anyone can convince you to buy.

I got mine because I wanted the Brembos and leather with the 300hp. I was also hoping the wheels would be limited but they screwed me on that one. All 06's have them. Oh well it's paid for now and I love the car. 33,000 is way to low for the invoice and I don't think the sticker is 41,000 eighter. Mine was 40,130 with nav, side airbags and $500 ultra yellow paint. I got every option in the book so unless its a roadster it couldn't have an MSRP higher than $40,130. I can't remember what the invoice was but it was close to 36,000. I paid 600 under dealer invoice and felt I got a great buy. Just buy what you like and don't worry what anybody else says. You'll really like any model. As for me I don't really care whats the best deal, I wanted the car and as long as the dealer didn't screw me I'm good to go.

Personally I'd buy an 05 Enthusiast; best bang for buck. Then use savings for wheels, stero upgrade, etc.

Not even the 35th Anniversary owners have mentioned the single most distinctive and unique feature about the 35th Anniversary model: the "special badging." If you look closely, I mean really closely, at the side Z emblems on the front fenders, the Z on the emblems are bronze and slightly smaller than non-anniversary models. This is what you are paying for.

Nissan really made a joke out of the so-called Anniversary model. Even the Mustang California Special has more uniqueness to it; it's limited edition and numbered on the dash for one thing. I think the gas cap has a "CS" on it, too.

The 35th and the 06 GT models are basically the same. Same rims, brembos, leather, and the same trannies are available. 287hp for AT and 300 for MT. The only difference is that the 35th anniv. has 2 tone leather and less weight compared to the 06 GT. I say buy the 35th anni. for less price and slightly higher performance. But if you like the new 06 features then get a 06 GT or Track if you must have brembos.

The 05 35th has different cam phasing and a high rise plenum to say the least. Some are now saying that the rods, pistons, and crank are different as well. We are still trying to figure out how I am getting 421rwhp with 6psi. The factors above are the reason in part but maybe not in total. I am still researching to find the facts on the differences of the rev-up motor. I am in Houston skeleton...

35th without leather??? that's weird cuz they all should come w/ leather, i dunno if anyone mentioned this but the 06 is about 150-200lbs heavier than the 35th...the 06 has new lights (high beam hid, led rear)...the reason for the extra weight is because of the interior, the 06 is "nicer" (i saw at the LA autoshow) but to me it makes no difference...also look at the badge on the left right sides, make sure they are gold, and carfax it to see what year it is and what motor (the autos all have 287, the 6mt have the rev up 300hp)...if its an auto, just buy an 05 cuz the autos dont come in the rev up...

Nissan is giving $1000 incentives on the 35th Anniversary, so you should get it for at least $1500 under invoice. With all available factory options (Sat, Nav etc...), the invoice looks to be $36,543. Good prices on the '06s in my area are somewhere around invoice -100 and invoice +500. The '06 GT and Track have the forged alloy wheels, 18" fronts with 19" rears, the 35th has cast 18" wheels front and rear.

This just means that you can opt for a two-tone leather instead of a single color leather. Mine is a single tone leather (all black). But it's definitely true that the 35ths come in leather interior only.
