I have gotten about 27 on long trips. I have gone upto 450 miles before getting gas. A mix of city and highway gives about 20 and city alone gives about 18.

i got no more than 360 miles ever. most folks complain RX-8 has fuel economy, but i think my z is worst than RX-8, i drove my RX-8 almost 2 yrs on the same street as i driving now, RX-8 has 23-24, but my z only can go abt 19-20, maybe my z is still new and the rubber is stickier to road than rx.

You got 23-24mpg on your 8?!? I've had an 8 and shifting at 3.5k and driving like a grandma, the best I could do in an 8 was 18 almost 19MPG. I would fill up usually around 230miles to the tank. I thought the Z was better, I heard of people filling up around 300+ some at 400miles a tank.

i got 280-300 miles per tank with rx-8. sometime even more. but my z 340-360, z feul capacity is much bigger than rx. maybe i need to learn the way to drive z as others drive it with 400 miles.

Uhh... are you properly calculating gas mileage? How much you can go on a "tank" isn't at all accurate. How many gallons were you putting in the Z and 8 when you used up a "tank" and went 280-300 or 340-360 miles? Even when you're down to empty, you've got some gas left.

You need to do:
miles travelled since last fill up / gallons of gas used [amount need to take totally fill the tank]

i put this in the other post but 400mp tank is not hard at all. driving avg is around 40 mph ( give or take 5 mph) and i havent seen anything less than 400mp tank. but like i said previously, i dont know if the rev high motor gets better gas milage. cause i could see getting close to 500 if i were driving on a trip avg 70 mph. but i feel sorry for you guys getting barely 300mp tank, i think i would be broke.

I always get over 300 miles on a tank for normal driving with a little spirited driving thrown in. Last I filled up which was yesterday I have about 350 miles on the tank. The computer usually reads somewhere between 21 and 24 mpg.

My trip meter thingy says I'm getting about 22.4mpg. I reset it with each new gas tank so I can more easily see if I have any immediate dips. I haven't written down how much gas I bought and how far I drove though.

I don't know how accurate the gas guzzler meter is on the Z but on my VW it was clearly on crack, saying I was getting 35mpg when I know for a fact I was getting around 27mpg.

75 or so on the highway gets me an honest 26-27 mpg....I drive to my office in S Fl a couple of times a month so it's easy to check. Around town with a little highway thrown in I get about 21-22 mpg. I don't baby it, but it's not 6000 rpm on the shifts all the time either. Best I got on a tank was 442 miles before I broke down (got nervous) and filled 'er up. All highway, of course.

I do a good bit of highway driving and inner city to avg about 25-27 mpg and usually get 375-400+ before it starts flashing. Ive gotten as good as 29.7 when i was doing a lot of highway miles.
