I am on my first ever tank and it looks like i am going to get around 330-350... i have heard that after 500 miles or so the MPG improves a lot due to the engine breaking in.. less friciton.

400? darn!!
I get 220. 260-280 if I am lucky.
But that's mostly stop & go traffic around town and spirited driving on deserted roads.

With my current commute, I get between 21-23 mpg...usually more like 21.5 on my 5AT. This is based of my calculations and not the trip computer, which is 0-1 mpg most of the time (it's fairly close, usually within 0.5).

My Maxima gets ~25-26 on the same commute [trip computer is way off usually 2-3 mpg too high, sometimes 4].

I get around 19-21mpg, returning about 330-360 miles per tank. When I went to Tampa though, I got 412 miles out of my tank, about 23.5mpg, and that was with my g/f, but she only weighs 115 lbs

My usual is 20-21. The majority of my driving is local. If you use the freeway a lot (and if there's usually no traffic), 400 miles per tank is easy to get to.

hm.. crap one of the main reason i got the z is due to the good gas milage despite the fact its 3.5 liters..

I read up on some site i believe MSN.. stating that the z can get up to 500 miles.. which shocked me.. and was one of the things that pushed me into buying the car... i guess i won't get anywher close to that.. but its still better than my VR4..

I usually get between 17-21 mpg. On average I get about 300 miles between fill ups.

If I keep my freeway speeds to around 72-73 I get 35 hwy (52 miles a day, 5 days a week hwy), and 20.2 city. I only drop to 34 hwy at 80ish, so it's not a factor to me.

Same... are you sure he doesn't mean 400km? That'd add up.

400 miles on a tank of gas is exceptional. How about a photo?
