I did not realize there were poor quality exhaust for the 350z.All the ones I have run across are stainless steel or titanium, although some show better gains on the dyno than others.

Totally backwards IMO... Suspenion and Brakes should be first! i.e.- build a base that can handle sped safely, then start pumping the power up...

Put an APS TD exhaust next to a Borla TD exhaust and try to tell me that you don't see a difference in build quality.

My point was that all SS or TI exhausts are not (as you implied) made equal... No need to attack me personally.

I was not attacking you personally at all and I am sorry if you got that impression.I just have not ran across any poor quality exhaust for the 350Z.Your comparison earlier had the Borla and APS as examples, but what is the problem with quality between them. All I see is two different ways to connect the pipes and muffler appeal is low on the Borla. So what is the problem all I see is a affordable way verse preferred way to connect the pipes? The fact is if you are going to spend $1000.00+ on an exhaust it is going to be a great looking system, but there are great systems for $700.00+.
A better comparison is the HKS hi power and the Injen SES.What would make purchasing the HKS for $1400.+(the tips are the only titanium) over the Injen at $860. the right choice? They both show nearly identical dyno #'s.

Exclamation

For $2000 or less you can buy all the NA parts I have used, and go run low 13's, high 12's (if you dont have -2.2 rear camber like me) and trap 106-107mph with BOLT-ONS. Show me 1 person on this site that has trapped so high with such few mods or money, only people you could find are N20 guys, and even then they cant all run faster. BTW driving skills required

I'd like to see ANY dyno showing the Injen making 10+HP. Please show me one because I've never seen one. Sport Z magazine dynoed the Injen at 7hp.

Sorry if I misinterpreted you...

Do you agree that there are significant build quality disparities between exhausts out there? That's the only point I was trying to make. I also never said that Borla was of poor quality, only that the APS is built better... I'm not sure that anyone could argue against that with a straight face.

To answer your question about why someone would pay more for a product that can to the same job as another that is less expensive: I will answer with another question- Which would you rather have: a 360 modena or a c5 zo6? enough said...

LOL, that dyno is from Injen themselves!!! I'd like to see an INDEPENDENT dyno, not one from Injen. Try again!!!
