what i meant with the dry powder pearl, is that you can buy it separetely from ppg and house of colors. it is just the basic powder that you can use to mix and match or create your own colors. i want to say it is about 6-8 ounces for only $20. you will have to mix it with something, like clear or a base color or a super thin coat normally used for spraying candy concentrate with. and yes, even the candy colors come in a concentrate can so you can mix your own intensity of transparent color. it is pretty awesome once you start to realize all the custom ways of layering and mixing you can do, and if you do your homework, it is all pretty easy to spray.
one paint job i want to try is using the chameleon ppg stuff. i found the base colors used for creating the chameleon colors. if you painted the whole car with one of the base color (which will change 2 different colors) then use a few long flame templets, and spray the chameleon through them so it leaves soft edges (not masked flames) and mix and flip them so it is a random pattern, the 2 primary colors of both will be identical, but the chameleon will change 5 more colors. you will end up with the flames completely disappearing then coming back randomly in different colors then disappearing again completely!! TRUE ghost flames, never seen it done either. would be sick on a chopper.
