Question ? for those who ordered the aluminum kick plates (door sills)

Did the standard door sills still come with the car *along* with the aluminum ones? Since this is a port installed item, I'm assuming the car arrives at the port with the standard door sills and then the aluminum ones are installed.

What happens to the standard door sills?

Don't know. I guess the guy in the port kept them, cause I sure didn't get them.

Electro! I think you are mistaken. My car came with thge "standard" kick plates and I have purchased the aluminum kickplates from Courtesy Nissan. They completely replace the original black plastic part installed at the factory. (My guess is that the POE parts are recycled back to the factory for reuse! )

The "Aluminum" kick plates suck. They are glued to the black plastic. The aluminum inserts are starting to come un-glued on mine. I went to the dealer and complained. They offered to replace them. I requested that they replace them with the stock ones because I'm afraid that the aluminum ones will continue to come un-glued. Poor Design!

I wish they would have left the stock ones with the car also just so I could have that sweet Z logo to put somewhere else.

Victor, I think your original kickplates are being recycled by Nissan to pay for that POE laborer who installed it at the docks!
