Michael.
It will happen eventually if all goes well. We actually did a preliminary bid for this year's convention at the Vegas convention in 2000. We decided to withdraw in early 2001 because a LARGE percentage of our members were not willing to help out with running the club - and because we knew Paul Gasparola of the New England club would do a great job. BTW, their club's prep for this year's convention is OUTSTANDING. They are READY! Details here: http://www.zccne.addr.com/Convention_2003/index.htm

Our club situation has changed drastically for the better - the club's kicking butt now thanks to Doug Stewart, Randy Shemin and Don Sielert. We're at 130+ registered members - about 1/3 are fairly active & about 1/8 are VERY active, which is pretty damn good. BTW, our next meeting is Thursday Jan 9. We welcome new members! If you show up, I personally guarantee you'll have fun. See http://middletennesseezclub.com for a map.

A convention here will DEFINITELY include a trek to the Corvette Museum. It's actually a pretty quick dash from Nashville.

Michael - thanks for the segway! - the check is in the mail

That would be a nice 3 day weekend trip from Detroit! I'd be interested. Kentucky is a beautiful state. Please make it on a 3 day holiday weekend if possible.

Is this going to be just the 350Z or will all Z's be accepted with open arms?

The Middle Tennessee Z Club is trying to get a tour scheduled. On a side note they start full production of the New Max today!

On another side note we have a trip to the Corvette Museum scheduled for May 17th. This is a tentative date and can be changed if necessary. If anyone is interested or has a better date in mind let us know.

We have all kinds of events scheduled and hope the majority work out.

Our site is: (there is an image problem so please excuse the temporary mess)

If you are intersted the following event might be a good time for your club to come to bowling green:

Corvette 50th Anniversary Celebration (June 23-30)

National Corvette Caravan
(June 23 - 26)
50th Anniversary Celebration (Nashville)
(June 27 - 28)
50th Anniversary Celebration(NCM)
(June 29 - 30)

There will be corvettes all over! I think if you could caravan into bowling green then the vette owners could check out the Z's also! I will be there and I will love to see my fellow Z drivers!

BTW: There is always a big BBQ and party at the Baymont when the vettes are in town!

Just an idea.

Andrea
