Angry Repair shop crashed my car!

Took my car to have new rims and tires put on and they crashed my car! The front spoiler is ripped out and the rest are damaged. So I have a couple of questions:
1. Are they supposed to "test drive" my car if all they did was put new rims and tires on?
2. Has anyone had a similar experience? Are the repair shop insurance companies any good? (this was a Tire Kingdom shop).
3. Look at the door pictures. There is huge gap in the lower part of the driver's door. Since the car went over the median and the damage was mostly directed from the underside of the car, does that mean the gap can be related to frame damage?

I need some ETOH

who ever owns/manages that business better be doing some major *** kissing right now... Even with insurance there is no reason a tech should be driving your car around/joyriding for the just changing wheels.

Sorry about the damage. And yes, members have had worse. Thanks for the photos. This does not appear to be damage from a test drive. The damage occurred when putting the car on or off the lift. Best wishes on a fix.

Wow that is really horrible, I hope everything gets resolved the way its supposed to. I thought someone was drifting the car from the damaged rims and stuff... such careless people..

Thanks for the support. Kind of surprised, I thought the rims looked great! What about them is not "flowing"?
I live in gainesville so doubt too many people would be considering this shop. I am going to demand a new car, my car is a 2005 with only 3000 miles on it. They shoudln't be able to get away with this...

they missed the frame rail and mess up the side skirt. I have seen that alot on 300zx, there is a metal bead meant for the spare tire jack that gets all bent up everytime some idiot does not align the lift right. good luck on the repair.

How do you explain the front spoiler! It was completely destroyed. The bastards had pulled it off by the time I got there!
Also, what about the seriously misaligned door gap?

I can gaurantee they will not be giving you a new car and no judge in the world would give you a new car if you take this to court HOWEVER they are 100% responsible for repairing all damages they have caused. if the are uncooperative you should report them to your local better business beareau, that should get the ball rolling right quick

Why not? Is there not enough damage? Doesn't this damage bring the value of my car down and if so who is responsible for that?

omg. what was their excuse for doing this? you dont do something like this to a car by "test driving" it. a bent rim like that has excess speeds written all over it.

You need to talk to your insurance agent.

I doubt you will get a new car.

If you can take it to another shop and have them inspect the frame I would be willing to bet that it was damaged. If that is the case and the other shop is willing to testify to it then the car is deemed non repairable and yes they have to buy you a new car. Either way this shop needs to be taught a good lesson. Start calling lawyers and building your case! I would definitely take this one to court and go for the maximum penalty available...
