The end of my warranty.
Well, it been 3 years, and the warranty is now up.
I still have the feathering on my most recent set of front tires( third set up front, now with 25,000 miles). I tried to get them replaced last week, before the warranty expired, but the dealer said they didn't have enough wear ( ie not growling loud enough). I have called in a complaint to Nissan.
Has anyone had any luck getting things fixed after the warranty period, as long as you complained about it before the warranty expired? I would probably be happy enough just to get the new tires with the modified tread pattern.

That sounds like a tough one. If the tires growl at 37 months, will Nissan replace them? I’d like to say yes, but my better judgment says no. I assume that the front end has been aligned, and you continue to have front tires problems?
My car was not at 37k but it was beyond the 3 year bumper-to-bumper. Nissan paid to replace both of my front tires and for the alignment. My dealer went through the goodwill process. Of note, I had complained about the roar about 4 months prior..but at that time tires didn't measure up.

The front end has been aligned several times, and I have had three sets of front tires. Each time has gotten a little better, but the problem keeps coming back.
I guess I have it on the record, and next summer after I drive some more miles, I'll try for the goodwill replacement, when the roar gets bad.
Another option is I would like to try a completely different tire, maybe GoodYears, and see if that helps.

It's weird that so many people have had this problem but not everyone. I have put 15k on my Z since I bought it used and haven't seen the slightest evidence of tire problems yet...
