Default Need advice-doing a calendar photoshoot

Our club, AZ350Z is doing a calendar to raise money for a local charity. I have a group of Z's and G's as well as a group of gorgeous girls to model with them.

My problem is, I want to do something a little different...I was thinking that instead of doing the standard bikini shots, I would like to have the girls in lingerie or something a little classier. Sound like a good idea?

Then, poses...seems like the majority of the pics I see are the same 6-8 poses. Anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Sounds hott. Just make make the most out of the pictures, and come up with some really nice poses for them to do. Oh and don't forget to post them here.

You want something different? Congradulations. I applaud you. I'm sick of seeing the same cheezy poses of girls looking slutty next to a hot car.

How about some shots of a Z up on jack stands, a tire is off and a good looking girl in a skimpy mechanics outfit is changing brake pads. She's got a little grease on her as well. Another shot could be under the hood, installing a pop charger. In other words, shots of the Z that we usually don't see in calenders. Another shot could be a Z in a drive in burger joint, with two girls in the car and a guy is bringing them burgers. Change it up a bit.

If you want sexy, have the girls unbutton a blouse down to the navel. I find that what you don't see is often more sexy than what you do see.

Finally, hire a professional photographer. It will make all the difference in the world.

Wow...thanks for the great ideas. I will send you copies as soon as I get it printed. Have two pro photographers on the job, so should turn out well.

:\
topless or 100% nude?
100% nude is really stretching it for a normal model
imo

Cant do the nude thing on this calendar. It is for a local charity, so it has to be decent.

AZ is Arizona I can assume?

Why not head to the Cardinals stadium with a bunch of other Z's and park in the parking lot. Bring a BBQ (most likely in another car ) a few coolers, a little table like your going to have a Tailgating party. Have like 2 or 3 girls there wearing short shorts, and wearing a Larry Fitzgerald, Kurt Warner and Marcel Shipp jerseys or something. Make em tie the front up all sexy. Have em do pig tails/pony tails. You can have the stadium in the backround and everything.

Take it to a local bar where you can park it under a light, preferably so you can see some neon signs in the back, and have people (mostly dolled up girls) running out of the bar to go see it and just check it out?

if it is for a charity and you need to raise more money....do the nude thing then, cuz you will end up selling more calenders with girls in the buff. (we should not be ashamed of the human body which mirrors our creator).
my advice to you as a seasoned photographer myself.........make sure you pick the right models, a good money shot is 75% model 10% background 10% good lighting and 5% technique. You can shoot a good picture with a 50$ camera at the same time a bad picture with 5000$ camera. So the equipment is a non-issue.

Thanks for the ideas...please keep them coming. I will be selling these on all the national Z/G boards. Probably be around $5 or so. $$ is to help a local family who had the father get hit head on while riding a Harley...paralyzed and the wife and kids really need the help.
