Default Seatbelts too tight in the Z?

The seatbelts feel a little too tight in the Z (at least the driver's, I've only rode as a passenger a handful of times) . My old car had a little adjustable thingy so you can loosen it up a bit, but I don't know how safe that is. Anyone else feel the seatbelts are too tight sometimes in the Z and if so, is there anything we can do about it, safely?

You can safely go on a diet and drop some lard... Or you can buy a seat belt extender at http://www.gotbelts.com/unsebeex.html

The things people complain about never seem to amaze me... It's a seatbelt!

I wouldn't say that they are tight, but the locking mechanism is very sensitive. Frequently, I have trouble simply pulling the belt from it's retractor so that I can use it. And sometimes, I lean forward quickly to get a better view of my blind spots and it catches. This can be very inconvenient and annoying.

Tell me you are joking

Wearing a seatbelt is second nature to me. People used to make fun of me for putting on my seatbelt even before starting the car. I don't do it on purpose, it's just instinct.

I got rear-ended in my dad's old car(5k worth of damage) and if it wasn't for the seatbelt, I would have became very close and personal with the steering wheel.

To the Original Poster, I actually find the seatbelt too loose.

No. In fact they're not tight enough. I have a clip(similar to above) that goes on the belt at the top of the pillar. Once in place, the clip prevents the lap-seat belt from moving. Very worthwhile for racing.

Okay, maybe I'm just tripping guys. I need to start putting on a seatbelt more often; I have a bad habit of not putting it on enough. My friend just wrecked his G35 a few months back (got rear-ended) and if it weren't for the belt he might've been in bad shape. He's fine though. By the way, I'm skinny, almost too skinny! Okay, I'll be grateful for the Z's seatbelt now

Where it if you will, but not only is it a safety feature, but a driving aid. The belt-shoulder strap help keep you in the seat during hard cornering and braking. A 4 or 5-point harness would be better, but kind of inconvenient for a daily driver. If you serious about driving, then get serious about strapping yourself in.
