Default accidently bend the pinch under the car.

today i was jacking up my car to install the front lip spoiler for my car. but later i found out that both side of my pinch was bend after i was done. is it ok to bend those pinch??

You probably didn't permanently damage anything. You should be able to take a hammer to it to straighten it back out or grab it with pliers and bend it back.

Were you using a floor jack? I got some 1" thick rubber blocks (4"x4") and cut a 1/4" groove across the face. That slides over the "pinch" and I can put my jack or jack stands under the rubber block. That prevents any damage or scratching of the body by the jack or jack stands.

Yep, and then clean the area up and touch spray if you end up removing or cracking any of the paint in the area, just to keep things clean.

Dave, that's a great idea about the blocks....

Or get one of these and you'll never pinch it again. Make sure it will fit in your jack though.

You can probably buy something similar to what is in the picture. I made mine from a block of rubber I got from a local supply house.
