Default almost traded my z!

Well I was thinking of getting rid of the z. I found a nsx that I really wanted and had a buyer for my z. I thought about it and even considerd keeping both. Financially speaking that was not a good idea. The nsx was a 94, bodykit, and a few other upgrades. It was a good price but I just couldn't pull the trigger. I was afraid I would regret the move later. Loved the nsx, really quick and responsive, the only thing was that out-dated interior. Without being biased, what would you have done?

yeah i agree, my dad hates old cars. When they break down they are a waste of time and money.

Default oh well

Nsx was just one of those cars that I always wanted but I did have a hard time paying more for a car that was 10 years older.

I've had multiple track days with my Z and other NSXs for direct comparison. and even had the chance to test a race-prepped one. Nice car, but IMHO not as good a package as the Z. The mid engine layout means the car is inherently 'twitchy' at the limit. The rear could come around quickly, whereas the Z provides most of it's feedback through the front end understeering.

The NSX is a great semi-exotic, but you did the right thing in keeping the Z!

imo, if you know someone who's knowledgeable w/NSX (engine, suspension, etc.) i would've said to get it.
the interior can be redesigned somewhat, racing seats, badass system, etc.
NSX is aint no Ferrari, but it's still a classic sports car that is somewhat underappreciated in the sports car genre. IMO.

nsx would only be good as a 2nd car. why would you trade a good, dependable daily driver for a 12 year old, weathered, car with a ton of mileage?

Would have kept hte Z and bought the NSX. Always loved NSX and RX-7s.. If I didn't have the budget for both, I would keep my Z. I would never trade in a dependable new car for someone's used car.

Default keeping the z

thanks for the feedback. I love my z but I still want the nsx. It would be a great 2nd car just to take out once in a while. Maybe I will change my mind and get both.

I saw one at 2nd Creek before it shut down and I was disappointed in it performance.

I would only buy/trade NSX, if its a 2nd car. I wouldn't even considering trading the Z for an NSX, that mid-rear car has tire feathering also. My old car, a MR2 had problems of rear tires wearing abnormally and NSX had that similar problems, but it wasn't made a big deal out of it. And the interior noise will drive you crazy after owning for years. Keep the Z!!
