Default Got droppped from my insurance company due to the Z

Apparently New York Central Mutual "doesn't carry the Nissan 350Z". I am officially dropped from my carrier in January.

they also cited to my "driving record" as a reason...which consists of

1pt - failure to obey traffic device
1pt - no seatbelt

Lastly, they said I made too many claims...which were:

1. January 2004 - glass claim for windshield
2. May 2005 - Audi S4 Stolen

That's it. What a load of crap. If the government is going to require that we carry insurance, they should have way more regulation on these guys because they are doing whatever the F they want

I got nailed for a seatbelt ticket about 14 years ago here in CA and didn't know it went on my driving record until several months later when I went to DMV for a printout of my record for a delivery type job.

I was p!ssed when I realized that seatbelt ticket counted on my record. I was stopped for no front plate and was citied for the seatbelt at the same time.

Needless to say, I always have worn it since then.

Yeah! the government wants us to follow the law and get insurance, they should at least make it a hassle-free deal. Let's riot!

tickets dont stay on your record that long.. hell in 3 years any points from a speeding tickets will be gone.

i my record is clean right now.. i have had a ticket since 99.. after 3 years the ticket goes away!

im sure it has to be the same with a seatbelt ticket.. call the dmv and ask them to make sure....

your insurance company is full of it.. find a new one( well you have too anyways...lol)

That sucks man. Sorry to hear it.

I have 15 points of infractions in 12 months and one minor ($3k) accident and my insurance isn't dropped yet. The price went from 130 a month to 230 a month, so I guess the extra $1200 a year is good enough for Nationwide.

The stolen S4 might have done it though. That's a decent chunk of change...

Not my fault though, although it did cost them almost 30k. Regardless, these insurance companies are getting to the point where if you make ANY claim they will drop you.

God forbid you actually use the service you are paying for. They basically expect free money from you.

It has nothing with the 350Z, its you that they don’t want. To hell with them. Pay premiums to someone else.

Go down to your local hardware store and rent a chainsaw. Pay them a visit...

This is the same insurance company that took 4 MONTHS to pay me for my S4. They kept coming up with more and more crap I had to do, send, re-send, etc. to get my money. I was so f'n pissed I had to go basically the whole summer without a nice car. I've had my broker looking for a new company since that happened anyway. I was paying so little though, it was hard to beat.

They dont want you as a client. If you got an A4 stolen I would not want you as a client any more. They consider you a risk, the only problem now will be finding a new agent, once they see you have been dropped most dont want to pick you up as now you are consdered very, very "high risk".

Try esurance.com... I haven't made any claims with them yet, so I don't know how good they are, but their rates are pretty reasonable for excellent coverage.

JUST DON'T GET UNITRIN/KEMPER. Everyone who works their has got down syndrome. Somebody bashed into my dad from behind, while he was pulling into his driveway and we lost - how you figure? you'll be waiting for a verrry long time for anything with them. I'm switching to AAA
