I dont know, but how fast can you guys go in 2nd. We can only go 62 (on good shifts). Thats the problem! Oh well no excuses! From a roll Z28's are tough cookies. From a stop they can become easy targets because they spin like a *****. All you need is that initial 1/2 car to tie or even edge'em out. All in good fun.
Keep workin on your 1/4, or I may get you someday!

oh boy, good kill tho, an obvious kill also. suprised you could hit 2nd at 60 tho. we top at 62, so wed be stuck at 3rd, not the best speed for us to start at, but thats just an excuse.
Im just happy to race, win or lose. Im well aware there are faster cars. specially if I dont know the cars specs.

Some of those guys are dix and they like to call every Japanese car rice. I think that the specific meaning of ricer, while derogatory, is a souped up Civic or other 4-banger Japanese product with a loud fartpipe and stickers all over the place but no real power or speed.
Any F-body owner with class wouldn't call a 350Z or a Z32, RX-7, Supra, etc., etc. "rice".
That being said, if you lose a race... Don't lay into the gas, fly-by the other car and give the guy the finger. Just accept the fact that his car's faster than yours, and enjoy your car just as much because it was a fun race. Wave and maybe shoot the $hit with the other guy for a while. Who knows, you could learn something about driving or improving your car!
On a side note, I think that there's a little BS in that kill story. Going to 2nd @60 mph in an F-body is a bit counterproductive. The top of 2nd in those cars is around 67 mph. But, the bottom of 3rd in your Z against the top of 2nd in an LS1 F-body will get you creamed. Those things run like hell fire above 4000 rpm!

yeah, civic owners are even some of the hardest critics of rice, a japanese car is not "rice" only those that are all dressed up to look fast. many cavaliers and neons fit this description as well. but a select few muscle car owners that are either ignorant or threatened by import cars categorize them all as rice to make themselves feel better.
its a shame really. a real car enthusiast would like any car based on its qualities, whatever they are, and not try to prove themselves to be the best(case in point, go see the guy in comparisons spouting off how the mach 1 is the best thing on 4 wheels, Im in there argueing, although I actually think the mach 1 is a very nice car, a car can be judged by its owner tho; thats what rice comes from, as well as the mullet reputation of domestics.)

Oh well, to each is his own.
