Damn the POTHOLES!!!
I'm driving home from Boston after a class. After about 10 minutes as I approached Boston's old Tobin bridge heading for the suburbs, I hit one pothole, I avoide the second, and then there was just one small one after. I figured it was nothing since it was so small, BAM!!!! Flat tire! I got to my shop, slapped on the spare. Boston sucks to drive..

the same **** happened to me in my BMW. messed the HAMANNS up pretty bad. imagine driving all the way back to Maryland wondering if the two passenger side wheels will hold up. (the tires didnt go flat but a huge chunk of the tire and wheel was missing on both)

We don't have the winters you have in Mass., but we seem to get our fair share of potholes here, too. The problem is they start off small, but it takes the state forever to get around to repairing them. By the time they do get to them the hole is major hazard. Plus the fact that the ones on major traffic routes that they do repair turn back into potholes inside of 3 months. I guess the patches come with a 90 day warranty...day 91, poof!!!
NC gas tax is scheduled to increase the first of the year. However, I doubt we'll see any major improvements in highway maintenance.

Get the tire in question to hit the pot hole at an uneven angle at speed, and it can pinch the tire no prob.... happends to me once a year

Watch out for those loose rail road tracks/spikes. That was a hairy blowout.
Damn thing nearly ripped off the whole wheel.
I wish I had a camera that day!

LOL. Boston is notorious for potholes. I remember one time, on a local highway, "Revere Beach Parkway", there was a the little potholes, that over time, formed into large deep craters. They were literally over a foot deep. And the city repaired after there were many people with flats calling up town hall angry. They fill it in, and the holes just come back

we've got the pothole problems here too, it seems everytime it rains there creates new ones for me to learn on the way to work
in our city, its mostly the manhole covers that play the roll of suspension crashing potholes. The roads have been resurfaced so many time, with the manhole covers remaining at the same level since the 1900s, and every few years they get deeper and deeper
and the Z's front suspension just cant cope, its too hard, hit one of these and it feels like the dash got ripped out with aching sounds of plastic on plastic screeching
im hoping a set of HKS LS+ coilover with a soft setting will solved this problem
