Default Swap auto and manual final drive gear sets

The manual transmission final drive ratio is 3.538:1 and the auto ratio is 3.357:1. Question for those out there with experience working on real axles. Do you think these gear sets might be interchangable? Bear in mind that the manual rear drive is on some models an LSD.

I would think that older gearsets from earlier series would not be.

the final drive ration is the gear in the rear differential... the overall gear ratio is the transmission gear ratio times the final drive ratios..... 0.77 times 3.538 for instance in top gear. Not sure I have the 6th gear ratio correct here.

Although they may be, as I recall, the differentials are interchangeable, or interchangeable with slight tweaking on first gen 240Z all the way up to at least the Z31, and Nissan is well known for sharing differentials among many models. One of the popular 240Z swaps was the 4.11s from the 4x4s front axle.
