Default If you had $500

If you had $500 to blow on your Z what would you get? There's a lot of things I want but it's hard to narrow it down, and I know there's other things out there, so to help me decide, tell me what you would get and I'll copy you.

BTW, Merry Christmas!

Considering my Z is stock, I would buy:
- $190: APS Cat-Delete Race Pipes
- $240: Motordyne 5/16" Plenum Spacer and Iso-Thermal Gasket Kit
Thats what I get and spend the left over on shipping/ gas.
With the left over $70 for you I would recommend changing your fluids to fully-synthetic. I run Royal Purple engine oil 10W20, Royal Purple Max Gear for the rear diff, & Pennzoil Sychromesh for the tranny. I suggest Amsoil.

if ur fully stock buy:

JWT pop charger $115
UTR Chrome intake tube $115 optional...
UR Crank Pulley $210
Motordyne 5/16 plenum spacer $250

Its over $500 but not by much!! $75 over without buying UTR tube.

I honestly couldn't tell you but from what I've read here those are some of the best buy if you're looking for performance gains.

I have an opportunity to purchase some test pipes for only $100 from a guy I know. I've heard they make your car like, stupid loud and on the verge of ricer exhaust notes. I definitly don't want that.

I've been contemplating lowering it but I'm afraid of rubbing.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone, keep 'em coming! I'll be making a decision within the next few days as I know if I don't hurry up and buy something this money will somehow disappear.

I've had some pretty decent gains from my 3/8ths in. plenum spacer ($200), my JWT Intake ($120), and my test pipes ($75 on ebay, ). I just recently spent about $250 to get a pair of 3" outlet mufflers, a Vibrant inline resonator muffler and the install work for a custom fabricated exhaust (I have some freinds with connections, ) and I love the sound and the feel of my car now. For about $700 total I've gotten some really good improvements. A buddy who has a 600+ RWHP Cobra (who hates imports, haha) said it was the best sounding import he's ever heard. I took that as a really huge compliment, since he usually talks smack. I wouldn't change my mods for the world. Have fun modding!

I think I've decided on definitly getting test pipes. For those of you that have them, did you install yourself? How difficult? Is there a way to keep from getting a SES light?
