Not trying to get into a PISSING match with you Alberto, but stop and think for a second about your 3000+ posts........How many of those posts do you think had something to do with "USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION"........

I am at this site for HOURS everyday and I learn ALOT. My posts count is not very high either, but then again I only reply where I can add to the conversation in a positive maner and I am getting away from that now so I'll drop it.

As for the "OWNED" comment to the guy above, what's your purpose man? You an Alberto Groupie? LMAO!

I dunno, Id say less than 100 whats your point? Are you saying most of my posts are "search" posts? If you have so much time at work, you can look them all up and see that I am very helpful, and count my search posts. Many times I do type the same $hit over and over again to answer questions nicely, but sometimes it just gets old.

I'll edit my comments, but I'll just say, the SEARCH posts are annoying as hell.

yea bert good luck with that netics kit, if you can launch good with it no doubt youll set the netics record on stock block. My nitrous venture failed so ill stick to being the quickest/fastest all motor Z. But theres that one guy in australia thats getting a dream N/A setup and with slicks and launching he could easily run mid to low 12's with his sick setup. It looks like im going to copy his plans with some more serious N/A mods to come. EDIT: That guys name is Z350lover btw.

What is the typical weight of a 350Z manual and auto trans and also what do they dyno at the wheels.

I put my car on the scals at the track and it weighs 3410 lbs and its a automatic. I never dynoed the car but it should put doun close to 300 hp with my two mods.

I had a 2.048 60 ft time when I ran that 13.5@102 I know if I got a 1.9 60 ft it would have done a better time wise. Also my trap speed is a little low for my car, LS1 Camaro Z28s should trap about 104-106 MPH.

I saw a GM High Tech Performance magazine artical that had a STOCK 1999 Z28 6 speed do a 12.89 in the 1/4

My next mods will be a Lanati cam, long tube headers and a SLP Loud mouth exhaust. this sould give me 358 RWHP My friend has the same set up

3188-3280 depending on model, base is lightest, touring is heaviest, and of course the autos are slightly heavier. Regardless they all run the same at the track-both stock 6 speeds and auto's have run 13.6, but the 6-speeds well driven trap higher. Most 287hp models dyno 230-240whp stock on a Dynojet. I did 239whp stock, and I "only" had 262whp NA with all my mods. Although all the mods made a huge difference.

does a new clutch and flywheel make a difference on the dyno?...i've heard it only makes acceleration quicker, but doesn't show an actual hp gain

This answer will be like a$$holes everybody has one and a different opinion on it.

My opinion is if the weight savings is extreme, yes it will show on the dyno. Example the Tilton clutch/fw set-up that is waayyyy lighter than stock. I remember seeing a guy with very impressive dyno numbers with only i/e and the Tilton set-up. Im not claiming 10-20whp, but yes it can free up a few hp. A FW that is barely lighter than stock like the Nismo on the other hand, I believe would be harder to see gains (on the dyno) from....

I would think it would show a HP gain on the dyno since it's allowing more HP to get to the wheels..

Ive got the Tilton combo and a few other basic bolt ons, ill be dyno'ing soon so watch out for that post to maybe give you an idea on if it affects the whp. My better judgement and common sense say it will, since like defex said, it does eliminate parasitc drivetrain loss and allow more HP to get to the wheels.

This is rediculous. Use the mother "effing" search function and go about your business. The "search function" posts are EXTREMELY helpful to some newbies. We sit here posting the same exact responses every day, but sometimes we don`t have the time or patience to reitterate the answer, so we suggest using the search function so they can find their answer another way.
Once you spend more time here, I`m sure you will feel the same way. I`m sorry if some of this seems a little harsh, but honestly think outside of the box. You have a question, we have a search function. Chances are, the question`s been asked before. Do a search and you`ll find an answer 99% of the time, and if you don`t, THEN post a new thread on it.

I know it takes a whole 2 minutes out of your precious lives but if you do it we surely will appreciate it.
