Default Stock 1/4 mile times for 350Z?

Great site guys. I have a 2000 Camaro Z28 Automatic with 85,000 miles It was bone stock when I ran it at the track and it ran a 13.5@102 MPH

Since then I have added a MTI clear lid and after market MAF ends.

My friend at work has a sttock 350Z manual trans not sure of the year. What do these cars run in the 1/4 miles stock time and speed?

We are headed for the track soon so we can race. Im thinking I might get a 13.2-13.4@102-105 MPH

Thanks, Jason

When my 350 was completely stock the fastest it ran was 13.9, but more common is 14.2 to 14.4 so you can expect to beat him if he is Stock.

Click HERE and watch. Specifically lesson #2-use that tool and find your answer to your question above, and any more you might have. BTW I ran 13.7@101 stock, and my times below are with bolt-ons only...

Bone stock Z's will typically run low 14's, but it is not uncommon to find many Z's running high 13's bone stock as well (both auto and manual). You shouldn't have a problem beating your friend at the track with your Z28.

Alberto,
What a LAME *** post! It's a FREAKING Discussion Board for Christs' sake! Maybe we should all just use the Search function from now on because I would venture to say that damn near EVERY topic has been discussed at one time or another.

Oh and btw, WHY are you so damn PROUD of those "bolt-on" times? You mention it in almost EVERY Post.... It's plainly writtin in your Sig that the times are "BOLT-ON"..... NO need to Brag Any Further ......

Oh, and don't misconstrue this to think that I don't like ya,because I do think you have ALOT to give to the Z community and you have helped me with some ofyour posts in the past, but it just gets old seeing the SEARCH thing over and over.......

Just pass on the reply if you have nothing to share with the guy......

Also Alberto, in your sig it says "stock headers". What is that? Mine has stock exhaust manifolds.

So you are going to race heads-up against a 6-cylinder? Boy aren’t you the sportsman.

Wow, dont get so worked up over nothing, you'll live longer. It gets really tiring/old to see the same damn questions posted OVER AND OVER AND OVER. You may not think its a big deal, but for those of us that are on here all the time, its lame to see "Whats the best intake?" "whats the best exhaust?" "how much boost can i run?" "what does a stock Z run?" posts Look at it from my point of view. I posted a funny (imo) video for the guy, dont get worked up over me in a funny way telling the dude to spend 5 minutes doing a search so he can have all his questions answered.

I told him about my times because not all member have the signature function on, I dont know if you know that or not, so if its off, I wanted to tell him about it, and to give him an idea about what a properly driven mildly mod'd Z can do-if his buddy ever adds mods. I wrote stock headers and cams because I got sooooo many PM's from guys asking me if I secretly had these mods, and I do not

Oh and Im proud of my times and traps because its not something that gets done every day with a Z with my mods. And I take pride in running much faster times and higher traps than 99% of Z owners with the same mods and in MANY cases more mods. It shows what driving can do. I like feeling like when I go to the track I show at least 1 person what a Z is capable of....you would too if you ran these times

yea i have the same mods as bert and i ran consistant 12.9's. so its possible to get a light modded Z into 12's, it all depends on launch, shifting which is albertos forte is more useful on races from a roll. Stock ide say with a good driver at sea level 13.8 is doable.

+0.99...i'm pretty sick of the "use the search function" replies too...either answer the guy's question, or go on to the next thread...i'm on this site all day at work and I have no problem wasting a few seconds reading a question that's already been posted

We hid the quarter mile times in a drag racing thread titled “Please enter your quarter mile times here.” Can you believe it!

13.7@104 stock, highest stock trap speed ive seen to date. Then again im no rookie down the 1320 either. Ive beaten many camaro's like yours, but its all about the driver when its that close in times. Consistency is key.

i knew you'd say that, but just realize "use the search function" can be just as annoying as a repeated question

True, but typing a one word response such as "search" is much faster and more effective way of answering the question than having to retype the answers to the tons of new questions, now thats annoying.

Was that a 104.XX trap? That is great, I know of a guy that trapped 103.9mph stock, and hes no drag racer, just good conditions at a good track.
