Default Just discovered something new about the Z!

It doesn't rank as high as the window trick on the coolness scale but I thought its worth mentioning. On the stock head unit, you can play whatever CD, tape, or turn on the radio just by pressing the CD/Tape/Radio button along the top directly and not have to push the power button. May not seem like much but it'll keeps your eyes on the road a fraction of a second more if that means anything.

That’s cool. 36,000 miles on my Z and have never tried it. Thanks.

I discovered if you want to bypass the governor on the speed limit, hit the emergency flashers and you can hit 180 mph.

That’s BS. If you drive 100 mph, and hold down the 4 way flasher button, you get an extra 10 horsepower out of the ECU.

I just discovered that if I try to put 6 CDs in the non-Bose head unit, the CD player jams pretty bad and scratches the hell out of your new CDs..

no joke, tachiro. just remember you have to hold the flasher button down firmly, not just push it in and let it go. This is a very dangerous trick, however, because it means you have to drive 175-180mph one handed.

You gotta be nutz.... So does it turn off completely, and everytime you start your car the governor is off? Or do you have to do it every time?

I tried it once and the sheer g-force frightened the beeJesus out of me. Never again. Nissan should fix that. Someone is going to get killed.
