Default Break In To My Z

Someone broke into my Z on Tuesday at work in the back parking lot..I got out from work and noticed that both of my windows were down and there were papers all over my car, nothing was missing but they wedged the door handle with a scredriver and now the handle needs to be replaced. .I'm still waiting for the parts to come in and have been without my z for 3 days..I can't drive it because as soon as I take the key out of the ignition the windows roll down..What an easy way to get into these cars..

I don't know it would have been impossible for me to hear anything from inside.. This weekend I'm putting in the viper 790xv.
Sucks!! It gonna cost about $500 for the repairs..

Someone tried to get in my Z. There was a scratch on the bottom part of the handle. I guess someone wedged a screwdriver there. I just had to touch up the area. Maybe the alarm scared them off. Its very sensitive.

Probably not...because it doens't go off until you open the door without the key. But if the windows roll down automatically, the possibility exists that they were able to turn the keyhole to unluck the car (i.e. alarm is now off)...

If it remains in that position, the windows will roll down automatically.

Default aftermarket door handles

If there are any aftermarket specialists...we need solid metal (w/ aluminum look coating) or true reinforced aluminum aftermarket handles...that will withstand such wedging...

I'm willing to pay $500+ for this ...

Yeah I would be willing to pay for a stronger door handle because it looked like it was easy to pry the door handle out a bit, and which in turn automatically rolled down the windows and gave full access to the car to these people..

If all it takes is to pry the door handle up to get into the car, then we are all in deep poop. I would consider that a pretty bad achilles heal.

Turn the key hole? Well I tried putting the key in the hole and unlocking the door. What do u know the alarm went in full blast. Make sure you get a sensitive alarm. And hooked up right.

If you use the key in the lock and hold it after turning to the right or left the windows will go up or down.

It might if you get the lock to turn enough.

Yeah I guess it works with a screwdriver, or if by pulling out the handle had to do something with the windows going down..
