I will defintly not let this go if I were you.. I say from now on, anything you do with them, keep a record of it.. you will need that..
and make sure you get that walkaround sheet ASAP from them or else they will take advanatage of it..
The thing is, the service advisor that took my car in says he didnt fill out one of those sheets...I've just got the receipt or service invoice that they gave to me upon leaving my car with them...is this what you guys are talking about? This should be a question for [email]Jason@performance. is the walkaround sheet separate from the service invoice receipt that they have you sign when you leave your car with them? Jason a little help would be appreciated.

Usually the RO (Repair Order) that NISSAN dealers use has the form on the back...

If you have a copy of the repair order (which they also keep on file), get a copy of it QUICK! If there are no markings, then they didnt see any problems on the car...

Hey guys do you think its a good idea to announce the service manager's name and dealership on the forum? Well, the dealership name has been given away already, lol , Im feeling vindictive, and i really want to post his name along with his staff after the way i was treated...but does anyone think this would be a disadvantage for me in the end?

Oh and Jason..is it true that there is a section that you sign that releases the dealer's liability for damage done to your car? I read that section and it says, "Customer is hereby notified that the said property is not insured or protected against loss occasioned by theft, fire or vandalism while the property remains with the repair garage." That only applies to people not with Nissan or vandalism by others right? Correct me if im wrong. Because if this is true, then no customer should bring their car to this dealer at all if their not going to be responible for customer's cars in their dealership. Who would want to risk that? The service manager was telling me off earlier today when i called him that when i signed that section, they are no longer liable for damage done to my car...BS. Is this true? Jason@performance?

Sorry to hear you got your car damaged at the dealership. Problems like these are likely to happen anywhere you take your car. That is why I bring my car only to Performance Nissan of Duate b/c they know how to handle problems professionally and promptly.

And yes - they do the visual inspection on my car before they take it. I have a gash on my Nismo front chin spoiler from hitting a friggin ladder on the freeway... which was noted by the service advisor when he was writing my car up. But he also noticed a small scuff mark on my wheel!!! They do pretty damn good visual inspection... so something like what you got would, no way, go past that type of inspection.

Also, I think it is good that you tell us what happened at which dealership. It helps other people on the board to be on the look out. Hope it gets resolved soon.

I think this is for your own good as long as you haven't signed anything that says you have got the car undamaged from them..

that's actually a dark gray color and its the metal, i think the reason for the color being that way is that the walls around me were yellow and it was reflecting off the sun, if you notice the yellow reflection off my blue paint in other areas you'll get why it looks that way. And even then, it WAS raining over the weekends as well and raining when i picked her up. What are we instigators? Gee, thanks for your patronage and support, i appreciate it.

isnt the fender aluminum? how does it rust? if that were me and they didnt want to claim up to it and tell me to wait to speak with the manager, i would have called the cops and filled out an accident report right there on the spot. all the documentation you could ever need right there.

Nissan Dealers can be a hassle to deal with. When I bought my Z, I had to go back more than 10 times for 2 or 3 situations. One of them being them selling me a scratched up Z. I noticed the day after I bought it since I bought the Z at night. Sales guy said he would have it fixed. Left at dealer all day and then tells me the guy wasnt there to fix. He said he will bring to body shop next week. I leave it for a week with them. Turns out that they really didn't fix it...he had someone touch it up and put a nissan sticker on top of it. And it worked because I thought the scratch was actually more inward and it wasnt. The sticker was hiding it and I knew there was something fishy about the sticker being moved. I know, I feel like an idiot falling for that. I'm now going to get a sales survey sent to me by Nissan. I will fill it out with the sales guy's name on it. I hope it's not too late. I kind of procrastinated on it but I cant wait to send that over to nissan with my "personal buying experience" with this dealer. I would've went back to get it refixed but I'm tired of going back and forth only to find no resolution. So the survey will at least send them to the bottom of the list as far as ratings go for dealers. Pay back's a b*tch when your dealing with the wrong person.

Off topic, but aluminum does rust if left exposed to the air. It just turns grey (aluminum oxide) where iron turns red/brown (iron oxide).

Maybe from a brown or rusty veichle hitting it.

+1

The "D" dealership in Huntington was the first dealer I visited, and it wasn't the one I purchased my Z from. Unproffesional and out-of-line to say the least.
