Default Wallet Key?

My last few cars have come with wallet keys, in case you lock your keys in the car. Are they available for Zs? I think I saw somewhere that Infiniti included them on the G35, but I'm not sure.

[knocks on wood]I haven't locked my keys in a car in years, but as soon as I don't have a key in my wallet, I'll do it

I got my wallet key made at the LA auto show. AAA was there with the key making machines. As long as you are a member, you can go to any AAA location and get wallet keys made.

I assume that the wallet key will just open the door but not start the engine due to the requirment for a chip in the key. Is this correct?

Yep, you would be correct (assuming things work like they're supposed to).
