i am about 5'-8" and i really dont notice too much of a visibility height when i use the adjuster, but i seem to fall into the seat better (holds me in) when i adjust the front all the way up. I find this much mroe comfortable than having it lowered, i feel like ill slide forward off the seat! I dont think i would like the auto height adjuster, but i would have traded it off for an automatic steering column and seat position memory like in a corvette.

I am only 5'2" and when I first sat in the Z I was afraid that I wouldn't be sitting up high enough. After I test drove one, I felt much more comfortable with the seat raised a little.

Thanks,

Andrea

I agree with Andrea . I first had reservations until I adjusted the seat height and it was fine . No problem . I'm 5'8'' .Actually , the front view is better than most lowered cars , but that rear view ! It's a killer !

Rocketscientist.

Our feelings exactly! I am 5'10" and my wife is 5'2" and we both feel that we need additional height adjustment. The dealer is unable to make any MOD so we now use an Obusform seat cushion. However, now the seat warmer is ineffective. I guess we are used to seeing more of the hood as on our '87 300zx with 6 way power seats. We shall be upgrading the audio and possibly adding a NAV system. Overall, love the Z! Can't wait until the snow is gone! Pirelli snow tires were installed but I do not drive it if it is too messy outside.

Default Raise seat height

I did like several others had suggested and raised the drivers seat about an 1" with spacers and longer high strenght bolts. I'm 5' 9" and the inch raise made a big difference in viewing out the back. This is probably not an approved solution from Nissan.

Maybe someone with a machine shop can fabricate spacers and bolts to raise the factory seats...

Pitlizard: How did you raise the seat? How long did it take and how complicating? Just curious...

Thanks.

What about aftermarket seats? I've seen some nice ones in other posts.

I don't think the "lowness" of the seat is that unusual: I had an LS1 before, and it was the same.
