Default My 35th is badly damaged.

I had a tractor/trailer rear-end me in the fog this morning. I am fine just some sore muscles but Lizzee no longer has a rear bumper, left rear quarter panel or hatch back that look like they should. The frame is racked also, when I pulled it off of the road it crabbed sideways. I called the dealer and they gave me their collision center number so it is in Tampa. I am talking to my insurance company as I am writing this. I will post pictures as soon as I get them and let you know what is happening.

at least you're ok, which is most important.

the z can always be replaced.

Yeah, maybe you can get an 06 GT with Navi as that would be the closest thing to a 35th now.

Wow, that sucks. Make sure the frame's not bent/damaged, if it is, time to get a new Z.

Yes, I don't know how it will ride now that it's so bent. But if the production numbers that another member posted are correct I have lost a very select vehicle. Only 188 Silverstone colored ones in the US.

Poor 35th AE.

But at least now you can get the re-incarnated 35th, the '06 GT.

If it has brembos pull off the calipers before insurance takes it away, those are worth pretty good money.

Glad to hear you're ok and writing about it. I was in a rear end collision myself only two months and 3 days ago. I lost my Z in that pile up but at least I'm alive.

You call your Z lizzee?
...
I need to start naming my car now...
I was planning to call her "Bang Bang" but that had major disapproval with some of my female companions...

PS... I feel deeply sorry that you lost Lizzee... but I am sure Elizabeth will get her muscles back up very quickly after insurance settlement

My wife named her that. My eclipse was named "Baby" but my new wife said "she was my baby, so she named her "Lizzee".

Here is a picture of the damage.

The left rear wheel is about an inch closer to the front of the wheel well than the right rear so it looks like the frame is racked too. There are crimps in the roof where the hatch was pushed up and in also.

The floor of the luggage area is pushed up about 10".

If it totals, would you swap a wheel with me? I curbed my left front with a chunk of curb that was protruding rudely in a parking lot. I'd be 4-ever grateful.
