Default INsurance!

Okay guys havent been talkin much lately but i finally found out how much ill be gettin back for the Z. I originally paid 24,000 for the car over the summer. THe insurance company is giving me 29,350 for the car based on the average sale of the z round bergent county. So im going to be giving my dad the money i owe him and i get to keep 16,000 over the original 11,000 or so i started with. Im greatful for this and couldnt believe wat i was told. I still do miss my Z and the car was like no other. Might i have some suggestions on a next car. I would like to get another z for many reasons but there are reasons y i also must move on and get a new car. I wont be getting another car till this summer more than likely. I would love to have another z but i need a car that is a little bit more practical as well. No matter wat car i get in the future i no the Z will be my fav. HOpe to see u guys round.

Thanks for the update man. Hope you learned your lesson.

Wow, so you're going to be making a $5k profit or so from your little mistake? That's awesome! Sounds like your insurance company considered this a total loss and gave you the KB value of the car. I'm assuming you bought your Z used? Well, glad to hear everything worked out! Good luck with your next car!

I'd like to see you back in a 350Z again soon. But if not wish you the best with whatever you choose.

Given your past history and your current driving skills, I'd say get yourself a Toyota Echo or even a Scion xB. They should be safe enough for you, and you probably won't have to ask daddy to buy it for you...

based on some of these guys comments, I'm assuming this was an at-fault accident for you so I'd suggest getting an idea of what your NEW insurance rate will be with that large claim on your record. it won't be the same as it was prior to the accident.

i hear ya just a question. I guess me sayin ive learned my lesson and can handle the car fine, and yes the spare tire is what threw me off and yes i should have not been driving with the spare tire let alone flooor it, i no this all to well now. It was just a question of wat would be a good replacement for the z that is more practical. IM still into that whole sports car thing and always will be just learing lessons of owning them.

Get a TSX. Practical, sporty, and FF drivetrain so you can't do the sparetire thing again.

With the 5k you're making per wreck, I suggest you keep buying Z's and crashing them! With one per month, you're making 60k/yr!

The manual Audi TT is all-wheel drive, and used you can probably find one for about 20k. It's also a little more practical than the Z (2+2 seats), but retains the same sporty body style.

Nice! You have a really good insurance! I'd get the Z again, imo. I dunno, Z was my dream car, can't see any other car after it. Shop around you'll find something you like. If your looking for speed, go for an Evo or an STi or something. Looking to cruise, an IS300, the new IS300 is SICK or a Beamer. WHen I went to buy a car, I wanted power, and good looks, got the Z. Determine what you want from your car, then start shopping.

Personally, a nice Pathfinder '01--04 would be a great choice for a young man starting in business. Room for people and stuff. Then on the weekends you can do some 4 wheeling for fun. That way if a mistake is made it's just a little metal work not people work.

I know it's not a sports car. But, still a lot of fun with the heart of a Z until you can afford another. I love my Pathfinder every winter.

yeah, I guess I'd go with the is250-is350. I wouldn't buy a TSX personally since its essential a jdm accord.
