I dont get why all 18 yr olds are like him! I'm not!! :-|

If you pay for ur car, its ur terms and ur conditions, if not, its their terms and their conditions. Besides, if ur getting FI do it right. Stillen is a bad excuse of an eaton supercharger. Small as chipmunk ***** and overheats quickly.

Do more research, ask the RIGHT questions instead of guys..should i get this??

get the nismo kit and some killer wide *** wheels.

then youll drive the hell out of it till you rid the warranty(36k miles) then get a Turbo

so once you have the turbo youll already have traction

the Stillen isw only good with a Stage2 or Stage3........but i would ratehr have turbo any day than a s/c

wheels and wider tires first. No sense in FI if you can't get traction. That would be dangerous.

Thats right. Get the wheels and tires first. Also a better suspension. I have a Vortech SC @ 8psi and I have a hard enought time getting traction with my 285's I couldn't imagine what it would be like with stock tires.

Maybe your parents are not "gay" about the issue. Maybe it is called life experience. As a friend once said to me "a lot of things can happen with a car and teenager and most of them are not good". The fact that they allowed you to get a high performance sportscar shows me they are not over reacting and trying to be too conservative. Fact is, if you are under age and kill or hurt someone or their car, they are legally responsible for your actions. Adding more hp just increases the risk level. In addition, the chances of a FI - modified car without a warranty of having problems is greater than stock. It appears that if you did blow it up with a turbo they would be the ones having to put out money to have it rebuilt.

Maybe in 10-15 years your children will be fortunate enough to have you "be gay" about not letting them do things that they want to do but might not be the wisest choice.

Bottom line is you can always move out, rent your own place and get a Twin turbo and boost it to 30 lbs of boost if you like. My bet is you will get some rims and that is a good choice for now.

*shrug* Judging by your responses and tone, I'd say they're probably right.

Get some rims. It's hard to hurt other people with shiny rims.

Hi faster than u, Im confused. Why does it matter to your parents that you void the warranty? You said your working your azz off and payed for it your self? my vote, I would say get the looks going first, suspension rims and tires. BEN

EDIT-Please disregard my post, lol, I just finished reading the rest of this thread. Gosh!!

You could spend the money on a gun and play with it while you drive the Z! They would love that! You could pick up random strangers and play russian roulette while you cruise around...

heres the best advice youll see in here. if u havent yet done this, pay your car off first. if u buy rims u just threw that money away, smae for the sc.
