It all depends if you want to be "faster than you" or better looking than you".
Have you ridden in or driven a 350Z with a SC on it? I would suggest you do so prior to buying one. I always strongly recommend consumers test and compare.
I will say this, all SC or TT 350Z's I have driven will give you a rush.

If it is an SC that you want I would recommend the procharger over the stillen. It requires less modifications to the car and performs much better. It is also said but I am not sure if it is proven that the procharger is the safest bolton SC that you can get for a production vehicle. Their R&D is very good and the quality of their products is also very good...
Remember that if you get the stillen you will need a new strut brace and hood as well…

I suggest you go for some wider wheels and a nice kit. Having a SC on your car will but a strain on other parts of the car and since money is an issue i would suggest going for the looks first.

I'm in the same boat you are man. I'm 19 and trying to figure that out too. I decided to go for looks and simple bolt ons right now. The Z is pretty quick already in my opinion. I mean how fast can you really go on the street? FI is pretty sick though. If I had the money to blow I'd love to have it. Get w/e you feel is more practical.

You might want to wait for the JWT twin turbo kit. It's going under CARB certification and should be on the market really soon, if not already. The HKS supercharger was also CARB certified recently. I like the Stillen SC, but I'm not feelin the hood at all.

The HKS rotrex is probably the safest on the market but it costs a pretty penny and the quality is there as with any HKS product.
Vortech is the way to go....Stillen isn't worth it for the amount of power you get even if you do keep the warranty. There are plenty of Vortechs running around without issues..
To answer your question....get the rims first and save up for a turbo kit or a Vortech supercharger

I say go with the wheels. Wheels and suspension are the foundations of any car project. You will appreciate those changes no matter where you drive or how you drive.
