Default Do you park like this?

I saw this in Savannah on Willmington Island in the McDonald's shopping center!
Sorry to call you out but just wanted to know if this person was apart of our lil community! I would park the same way but man you need to clean your car! Sorry for the pics but its 1 megapixel off my cell and I need to turn the brightness down

Peace!

I think he is asking if other Z owners park like that...taking up two spots...parking crooked. Also, he's asking if that Z is part of our community. Uhh...I park like that sometimes not very often. Do you?

Parking like that is just asking to get your car keyed. It just gives jealous people a reason to lash out.

I used to park the furthest from the main door of stores and take up 2 parking spots... until one day I walked out and saw a rusting truck parked so close to my car's driver side I had to get in the passenger side(the parking lot was pratically empty so he did it to **** me off). There was no ding or keying. But I got the message. Park like that and people will think you are saying you are better then everyone else and that will get your car damaged by haters. So I stopped taking up 2 parking spots and just park really far away only.

But I remember going shopping once and seeing a Porsche taking up 2 parking spots parked diagonally, so I parked next to it taking two parking spots and parking diagonally facing him as a joke.

I parked like that before and someone rammed a shopping cart into the car on purpose causing $800+ damage.

Never again.

Did anyone else notice that i the first picture the car is missing his front wheel? I think he might have parked that way because of that?

Forget being hooked up, the car is dirty and its missing a STOCK rim. They probably wouldn't even notice if someone ran a shopping cart into it.

it's a spare tire with a sticker where the caliper would be.

If it was a quiet parking lot like it seems in the picture, that's cool.

But I don't double space. If it was a busy lot, it's disrespectful to other people who need the space. I've been angered by people who take up 2 spaces in a busy lot and caused every one else to go searching and walking across the lot because they were thinking only of themselves... and some of them were crummy cars.

Myself, I just park as far out or isolated as possible.

I only park like that if it's not crowded and usually as far as possible from the store, restaurant, etc.

I will not do it if its crowded... Something like that can easily set some wacko off and next thing you know you're keyed, have your tires slashed, door kicked in.

Yet even then, things can turn bad. I once parked at least 200 feet away from the mass of parked cars. I parked under a light so my car would be clearly visible and deter violators. I returned approaching from the front. I saw dusty footprints leading over the hood, onto the roof and down the rear hatch. It left 5 creases in the roof where the weight caused it to buckle before popping back up. No, fortunately it wasn't the Z, but it was still a brand new car.

Sometimes nice cars are a magnet for trouble.
