Yep that'S it !

It's 14 miles long, mostly blind corners, very fast sweepers. Scarry !

They call it The Green Hell. Many drivers died there when they used it for F1 GP.

I spent a week-end there 2 years ago. It's the best !

The 350Z I've seen in Europe all had the brembo brakes and a slightly different suspension setting.

yes that is the nurburgring nordschleife track, one of my favorite to play on PGR3. lots of tight twistys and a couple straight away's nothing too long but enough for the s2000 to lose some time on. Theres a great episode of Top Gear where clarkson get's around it in under ten minutes and his racing instructor says she can beat the time in a van.

Yeah, he's driving the new Jaguar sportscar (whatever it's called). Great episode. He almost cries when he makes it on time.

yes, these lap times are different from those lap times on Top Gear or Fifth Gears, even Best Motoring, etc. it's a longer and more blind corner track, this can test out the real performance of a real sport car.

Then next question should be: "Is that a US Version s2000 or JDM?"

Then that means the nsx-R should rape all of those vehicles...

but it's shameful no Japanese cars at the top 20, even in the top gear lap times neither. only evo and sti might have chance get into top 20, i guess.

The 'Ring is quite a track, and I am proud to say that I have driven it. Spent a good part of an afternoon lapping the track; it was great. That map does not show even a fraction of the turns on the track. And the scenery is beuatiful.

Also, the '06 Z with more power and better suspension should get even better lap times. Also, the stock bridgstone tires are fairly poor, even the S03 tires would make a huge improvement in lap times.

I kind of agree with you except the "10" in that list are Porsche CGT, Ferrari Enzo, etc etc. So more like 350Z is 8 in looks and 7 in performance and STi/Evo are 5 in looks and 8 in performance

Nürburgring' is a very fast course with more than usual amount of straights, at 13 miles it is a very large course. It has 74 corners(or 100, depends on who you ask) where as Laguna Seca has 11. A lot of the corners are high speed corners with blind turns.

I love racing this track in GT4.

Who are responsible for these times? The manufacturers?

That's a nice time for the Z, but it's hard to compare those numbers with runs done on different days with different drivers, different conditions and possible lapped traffic.

I don't think I mentioned that the above link is a VERY cool video of a lap of the FULL course. With Hans Stuck driving a BMW M3 GTR something or other at and beyond the limit. As in my sig.......passing Porsches IS fun!

350z > s2000..... zo6 > 350z

The only place an s2000 stands a chance against a 350z is in a parking lot. Do not fool yourself. On a road course, twisty or straight, the s2000 does not stand a chance. Just like the Z does not stand a chance against the vette. I hate to hurt anyones feelings, but it's the cold hard truth. Life's a ***** isn't it?

I also don't think a long track like that is the best track to be comparing lap times. I think a shorter course with a good variety of challenges is a much better platform for such a comparison. It's an awesome track though.

just my .02

They're not cheaper. It depends on the trim, but a Base model Z is the cheapest of these choices being a couple grand less than the Evo RS (the lowest trim Evo, about the same price as an Enthusiast). The Evo IX and STi start getting into the ~$32k Touring Z price range, and the Evo MR is like a $37k car. And it's ugly as hell.

M3 GTR was 7:06
M3 CSL was 7:50

where are you getting that the Z beat the GTR?

EDIT: hell even the regular e46 m3 got an 8:22

EDIT 2: okay, maybe you were talking about the skyline GTR?

NSX-R is 7.56 and will beat a Z on a track 8 day's a week.

In Europe, the 35th 350Z was developped on the Nurburgring, and is 2 seconds a lap faster than the normal 287hp track version.

Maybe if the Nurburgring was reduced to an Autocross track?

No shame in that.
The track is in Germany so naturally...you'll see all those DTM cars on the top of the list. Japan has no real production supercars just alot of aftermarket tuners AND...
Shipping all the Super GT Japanese cars and drivers over to the Nurb. and having them have multiple cracks at that track would be kinda costly?
