Default Window Motor TBS???

Does someone know if there is a TBS for the Window motors, there should be since it is a too common problem...

I just got 36100 miles, and my driver window stop working, I hit it twice and it worked again, but I am assuming it needs to get fixed or replaced. i dont want this to happen to me on the street.

Nope, I dont use them too much either... I mostly use them to get into the condominium of my girlfriend.

But it does suck that so many people have the problem, and they still dont have a TSB for them.

Well, I went today to the dealer and they told me they were going to do it as Good Will, they coudnt communicate with Nissan, so they repaired it anyways and told me they would take care of it.

So not completly out of luck. I just feel if this is a too common problem they should do the same as what they did with the fethering issue.

my passenger side has been kinda slow, and today it quit working after i had it half way down...

Luckily a few hours latter it decided to start working so mine will be staying rolled up until i can get to a dealer.

The other thing that shocked me, was that they dont give any warranty on the new piece. So, as far as I am concerned, the window motor could stop working again in 1 month, and tyhey wont do anything about it.

Hopefully this wont be the case, and they last a long time.

the new window motor should be warrantied for 12k miles since it was installed by nissan. it will probably die at about 13,500 miles or something like that. my pass died with 36,125 and the service writer started to give me crap about being out of warranty, so i told him i bought it there, but i have no problem going to another dealer to get the work done. my car was written up immediately.

Look in the repair section. There are a couple of threads on this. One includes a link to a window motor TSB.
And the only TSB I have seen is basically a reminder to the mechanics how to reset the window limits on the motor to cure various problems or to reset it after replacing motors or regulators. It's already in the service manual.

How odd thet my service advisor told me there would be no warranty on the new windo motor

Is there a link you have about this, or is this in the manual, I would like to have something to show in case this happens.

You should have a warranty as long as they used factory parts. Even Nissan Re-manufactored parts come with a 12 month 12,000 mile warranty.-

Nissan Remanufactured Parts come with a 12-month/12,000-mile limited warranty OR the remainder of your Nissan's basic warranty (whichever is greater), and installing a Genuine Nissan Remanufactured Part does not alter your vehicle warranty.

It should be under warranty if you're under 36,000 miles.

My driver's side crapped out at 26K miles. Dealer replaced motor no cost because of the reason above. I was told if it fails again, as long as I'm under 36K they will fix/replace again at no charge.

Yep, I do have extended warranty too, but if I am not mistaken I have to pay a deductible $50-90, but is better to have it replaced for free.
