Just by looking at the pictures how much do you think it would take to fix it.

I'm just saying by the looks of it because its a bud of mine's and hes selling it off for 10k because he doesn't want to have to deal with it, and I'm wondering if its worth it. The outside of the body is mint, its just the interior that was robbed.

Engine bay is missing some key things, oil cap, Z tube, ect! Not worth $10K

Was a model with the Bose headunit (over $1,500)? Navigation DVD-ROM (over $900)?

I'd ask for a lower price and part it out on Ebay. You could make a profit and get lots of Ebay feedback.

I can already see that you could make some money on selling parts in the engine bay. and lots of people would like to do things to the dash but would like to do it with an extra piece so they don't screw up. I would ask for 3K-6K.

Damn, if your were going to use it as a weekend racer you already have the weight reduction part done for you, haha. I don't think it's all that bad, you can piece it back together from e-bay and junk yard parts pretty cheap I suppose.

How much mileage is on the car already?

Are there any engine/tranny/suspension issues? (I'm assuming not since you're buying it from a friend)

IF there's nothing wrong mechanically this could be a great project car since you basically have all the "dead weight" stripped out If the car is running fine I think buying it for 10k and rebuilding the interior will definitely be worth it.

but seriously why dont you report it to insurance? was your car stolen for awhile and then you found it on the street stripped? that kind of job would take at least a half an hour or so. and im sure the thieves wouldnt do that in a parking lot. but sorry to hear man.

The owner probably bought it back from the insurance company after they paid out for a 'total loss' on the vehicle. Insurance companies will usually offered the insured a chance to buy back the vehicle as-is after paying out a total loss, deducting the amount from insurance payout. Only catch is the insurance company will usually report the vehicle as salavage to DMV and it will usually wind up with a salvage title which affects resale value.

Not much. I'd buy it. Its mainly replacing some interior parts and some engine covers from what I can see. Worth it imo.

How much does a shop charge to change an auto tranny to a 6 speed?

I'd pay that much for it. =)

allot..

it dont look like anything is missing to prevent the car from driving well..

like many have said you could find all the parts on EBAY or in these forums!

remember 6 million dollar man>? " we can rebuild him, stronger, faster, better, than before!!"

if you dont want to buy it im sure someone here will heh.

might be fun to make a formidable Auto track car..??

All that stuff that's missing would have a very high markup.
