Default HID cutoff

Hi.
I'm just wondering that my right hid is pointing further than my left one.
The cut off looks like: /---/
Do they always like that since I was thinking that the right is pointing further for the road sign?

Would it not be wise to leave the headlights adjusted to factory spec?

I would imagine it's set up like this so you don't blind oncoming traffic.

The right and left headlight should be the same level. You can check by facing a wall and looking at the lights. Proper alignment is necessary for safety. You can find the distance and height specs here. Please search.

That's correct, they are like that so you dont blind oncoming traffic but you can get good visibility to your right (for signs, people walking, and those uneducated deer that like jumping in front of you!)

I've got a base model with the halogens and HOLY CRAP it's impossible to see if it's pitch black at night. They're pointed so far down that you can only see about 15 feet out and that's it. The low beams definitely need some adjustment.

my left side used to be a little lower also....all you need is a long phillip screw driver to make them equal.

i think they adjust them in the factory before they put tires on... LOL

that's why they point nowhere...

before I adjusted them, they were actually dangerous... I could only see 2 cars ahead...

now it cuts off just below the trunk of a normal car infront of me, and with projector lamps having a sharp cutoff, you can really tell that nobody's getting blinded...

Take your ride to the dealer and have them align them for you.
