Default No Key Entry if Battery Dies

Just curious - but how do you get in the car if the battery were to die? I didn't see any keyholes to unlock the door.

Take a close look at the drivers side door handle.. you will see the lock.. The other door has no place for a key.. I suggest you spend some time reading the owners manual..

Good Luck..

Is it true that if you don't put the key in the ignition and turn it off the "lock" position, the steering wheel doesn't work?

What's up with that?

But seriously- if the battery dies, will there be any power left to lower the windows (slightly) when you open the door? Otherwise couldn't you do some damage to the window if it is still up in the frame...?

Last week when I took my Z out of it's garage for my winter photoshoot, the battery was stone cold DEAD. I hadn't started it in 19 day s and there was NOTHING. I didn't even think about the window thing when I opened the door with the key. The door popped right open with no catching of the window at all. In fact, I didn't even think about that until I read your post.

BTW, my battery tender came via UPS today!

Default Why did it die?

Dr. Bonz,

What happened? It shouldn't have died in less than three weeks! Do you have any idea?

Do you have a grounding kit? Could it have drained the battery?

No grounding kit. The only thing running would have been the clock and the "trickle charger" on my cell phone. I guess that was what did it.
