is there instructions for programing a new remote, or do we have to take it to the dealer? I might be able to get my hands on one of those remotes, and Ill see if I can program it.

i wonder if the 07 will have the intelligent key, the 07 sentra is going to,so it would be absurd if the z didn't. I would love to have it on mine, then i wouldn't have any keys hanging to scuff up anything by accident. Maybe jason could tell us if it is possible to get the current intelligent key system from like the murano put in. I bet not or very expensive but maybe.

frequencies is the biggest differance. a sentra remote wont work on on altimas maxima or 350z.. but the z max and alti share the same remote.

i just tried t program a nissan intela key to my z just for ****s and giggles and it doesnt work.

no you dont have to go to the dealer to program remotes. just hit me up and ill give you programming instructions. its really easy..

answer is no.
and if there was someone in here to figure it out it would be VERY EXPENSIVE.
you ever priced your nissan remote? 100 bucks. then add the electronics for the new intelikey key switch . the switch its self and a 250 dollar intelikey remote....
ill bet you could get it all figured out for about 1200 dollars though

i figured it would be expensive, i would get it for sure if it was like 300 bucks, you'd think there would be an aftermarket company that would do it. The actual parts aren't that expensive, dealers just love to charge alot. Our remote prolly has like 5 bucks invested in it, and it is sold for 100.

we'll see I will try and experiment with the infiniti fob. Maybe swap out the internals with a Z remote?

I hope you realize that you are posting to a 2 yr old thread. If you did realize, I do hope that we can use the JDM remote for USDM Z's.
