Default 18 wheeler blows tire... tire hits my z at 80mph

i know you all are going to want pictures, im an airline pilot and im going to be on the road for a week..... but i will post them soo as possible...

I was doing 80 on my way to work, it was dark and it happened soo fast all i could do was maintain directional control of my car. I happened to survive the deceleration as my check engine light, coolant light, and windshield wiper fluid lights came on. I found the trucker pulled over about a 1/4 mile ahead so i pulled over to check if he had lost one monster of a tire... sure enough it was him... (and his trailer load of goats) anyway, the state patrol showed up, gave me all his insurence info and on my way i went to work with my completley smashed front bumper.... luckly for me, the check engine light went off right after restart and all i had to do is fill my fluid back up...

heres the question....... What front bumber should i get now?
I have a white touring coupe....

Boy do I feel lucky after hearing your story. A tire came off a car in front of me the other week and flew over my car. Glad you're okay. Did you soil yourself?

Steer straight at 80 mph. You probably made a wise move. Its possible to avoid road hazards at 80 mph, but over correcting and losing control gets you in worse trouble. The car is dinged but you are OK.

The nismo version 2 bumper looks really nice. It's going for 1500 at performancenissanparts: http://performancenissanparts.com/ca...oducts_id=6064

Maybe Jason can give you a good deal. A little expensive but if you're willing to get another type of bumper, why not right?

Wow! Glad you came out okay. How about this Polyurethane "Nismo Type" bumper for just $500? Fitment is perfect from the ones I've seen.

Performance Nissan also sells them:

A tire hit a car I used to have a long time ago, I was alright, The guy was drinking and had bought the car earlier that day. It was about 7 at night and I saw a car with the front leaning and a bunch of sparks flying up from it. I thought the guy had hydros and had dropped the front and was scrapping, he actually lost his tire and the tire came up and hit my fender, I was mad I got it fixed and all.

No. That's just the bumper. You'll have to bring it to a body shop to get it prepped, painted, & installed.

Between the jet & the Z, is it safe to assume your an acceleration "junkie"?

Nice job of handling the car in a bad situation. I'll ride in your plane anytime!
