Default Annoying ICY Indicator

We all have our preference for what's indicated on the trip computer. Now that it's winter, I find it very annoying that when the temperature drops below 35 degrees (or thereabout) the trip computer changes to the outside temperature. Heck, we can all tell it's cold outside.

But considering how much I love my car, I can let Nissan slide with this one. Gotta love technology.

I think there is a short period of time you need to let the temp show, but if you hit the bottom button for the trip computer after the temp shows up it will return to the previous setting.

That has been my solution all along. I never give it that "short period of time". Could you give me an estimate of how long that is? Thanks. (And to reiterate...I'm not complaining by any means. Just discussing the particulars of our great car).

Coincidently, the first few times I had the "ICY" indicator light came on the same days I used the passenger side cup holder... figured it just meant my drink had reached its proper drinking temperature...

Can't tell you haow many times I have been happily driving along at a constant speed of 37F. Not reeally a problem and I personally think it's a neat safety feature.

Please see thread: Please be carefull on slick roads!

it is nice, but eventually its annoying that EVERYTIME you start the car you have to turn it off, and Im in GEORGIA!

Im also getting hit double time on the tire pressure cause on one particularly cold day, one of my rear tires in addition to my fronts went below 28PSI. now I have to click through front, back, and temp, to get to my speed that I want.

Took me a while to use to it. I'm using computer mostly to show speed, and driving at constant speed of so-many-F, could get you in trouble easy enough. Now I hit the computer button first thing after starting the engine. Without even checking what temperature it shows. Stupid feature, but what can we do?
