If you get one that has had all the TSBs done and you've changed to tires that are less feather prone. You should be fine. I have an 03 with almost 45k on it and it did have problems. Since I've had all the TSBs done and switched to Michelin Pilot Sports on the tires, I haven't had any problems.

not all 03 have crazy problems. Its not major issues and all can be fixed by the dealer under warranty. Go for it! I have 03 with 9,500 miles and had minor probs and the dealer fixed them all. I love my Z and u will learn to love urs! Have a nice day! Good luck!

Don't do it. 13.90 seconds in the quarter mile. Kills Mustangs on the street. Excellent handling. Strangers gawking at you car. Its just not worth it!

Don't get a 6 speed. Mine grinds and the dealer won't fix it.

Knock on wood, but my '03 (which just hit 40k miles today) has been nearly flawless.
Have an independent mechanic thoroughly check it out, but I wouldn't avoid it just because it's an 03!

buy it for the reasonable price....buy it for the "look"......buy it for its decent gas mileage......buy it for the above average performance.....

If you know that there are problems with them then why buy them. That's like everyone knows that American cars particuallary ford's are poorly built and have someone buy one and complain about it when it breaks down. I would not buy it if I were you.

I know....that's why I am still not a Z owner yet...
but I just love it so much..but not sure if I wanna go through all the probelms with those ******* dealers.....

I would have to sell my RSX for the Z ...but I feel kind of stupid for selling a new car ..and get an used car with problems....

The only thing on my 03 was the window grease, otherwise it runs perfectly since March 2003

I have an 03 and love it, granted I had the grinding problem but the dealer fixed it with no problems or complaints and it runs great now. I currently have 38000 miles on my Z.

Do you guys know what the other TSB's are for the 03.

Thanks,
John

Have a good mechanic check it out; if he says "ok" go for it.

My 03 had only minor feathering. Today it runs as strong/tight as the day I bought it.

I read this forum a lot before finally settling on an '03. It's been almost 10 months, and no regrets. Got a great price and no problems the dealership didn't fix for free.

if u get an 03 .. make sure it still has some warranty on it... mine has 37k and ive gone thru 1 tranny. now shes perfect. the only other prob i had was the streaking windows. but they fixed it. when i let the clutch out there was a rattling sound. i figured it was my throw out, so i took it in and they ordered a new tranny 4 me !
and gave me a new clutch along with a new flywheel...

Mine just hit 30K and the only problems I've had are grease streaks and drivers side window motor (which was replaced under warranty). Runs like a top!!!

Was your RSX stock? If you felt that was too rough for you, the Z may not be for you; it rides like a sports car, man. The '03 had the most sporty suspension of all the years. I put the Nismo suspension on my '03 track and it;s a bit rough around town, but I wouldn't trade the handling for anything. I love my '03!

Then you need to try another dealer or call NNA and get on someon's @ss. My '03 had a grind going into 5th when I bought it used with 17k miles; delaer replaced tranny under warranty, no questions asked.
