I thought all these things had to be programed to your car anyway? And since most cars have a different frequency (or you'd be able to open the next Z down....), I don't see why a J-Spec key and a US-Spec one would have a different frequency set.....or that even if they did, why one couldn't be programed with one set or the other.

well lets all ignore frequency for a second, it's a pricey experiment, but it may very well be a possibility if you open up the casing of both alarms, the chip board might fit on the same internal jig and the buttons might line up just right. Many companies do things this way for cost effectiveness...
don't look at me, I'm not gonna try it haha

people need to stop with this it's cheaper than an infiniti crap. If the integrated keyfob/intelligent key was available as an option for the Z, I'm pretty sure that at least 80% of us on the board would gladly pay for the option.
to stay on topic, I'd be very intererested to see how one would even get the Intelligent key system installed into a Z. It can't be that simple, since there must be some on board computer in the car that detects the key, and unlocks the doors, and modify the ignition portion to get it all working.
as an aftermarket mod, i think this would be hella expensive...probralby would've been alot cheaper if it was a factory option.

If it was not understood the first time...
I will order the remotes to see if they will work for the 350Z...

I do like that JDM fob. Would be interested in buying one if it would work (even with the Nissan emblem, I don't really care).

Ok, my friend from japan got back to me. He spoke to the Nissan dealer mechanic in Japan. The price of the integrated key/fob is roughly $150. That mechanic also isn't sure about the frequency... Hmm... I'm debating if I should go ahead with this rather pricy experiment...
