Default Dealership taking care of recalls

Well I have a '04 1/2 base model with the dreaded tire roar/feathering. I've known about the issue since before my purchase (did my homework), and finally took it in today to have it looked at along with an oil change. I took it to a different dealership than where I bought the car because the service department there seems like the type that would give me grief over the issue. The new dealership didn't give me ANY static at all. 2 new tires, at your service!

They also fixed the faulty valve in the gas tank that makes the tank hard to fill completely.

Hopefully the front tire issue can be resolved and I won't have to replace my front tires every time I sneeze... but considering I got 23k miles out of them I guess I'm lucky in comparsion to some peoples experience with the issue.

Needless to say I'm a happy camper for now! Woohoo!

Nice to hear stories of cool dealerships. My dealer replaced my 2 tires before and gave me a few alignments. After I changed my springs and got 19 inch rims and tires I was hoping to never hear the tire roar again. Well, 6k miles later, loud as all can be. With my new setup the dealer told me sorry, no can fix for free now. Current status- Z sold. Loved my Z but couldnt stand the tire roar anymore. I still come to the forum because the people on here Ive met over the last 2 years are awesome and very helpfull. I wish you well and hopefully many miles with no roar. BEN

Coincidence. I got 24,000 miles out of my OEM front tires. The damn things were so loud I couldn't here myself think.
